Judge Out, Endorses Culver

According to news reports all over the papers and radio, Patty Judge is dropping out of the race for governor and endorsing Chet Culver.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Chet Culver will announce today that he will make one-time rival Patty Judge his running mate should he be nominated in June, Iowa Democrats said Tuesday.

Judge, Iowa’s secretary of agriculture, will withdraw from the governor’s race and endorse Culver.

The news, which comes a month after Judge filed a disappointing 2005 fund-raising report, eliminates the chance for Iowa’s first female governor to be elected in November and shrinks the Democratic field to three candidates who have organizations and money.

Gordon Fischer has more, with the additional news of Mike Blouin picking up three labor union endorsements.

P.S. Over the weekend, Mike Bloiun picked up three union endorsements: IBEW [statewide], and the Quad City and Waterloo Building Trades.

Gordon Fischer also takes the “OMG, I didnt’ get that e-mail forward two years ago!” prize. ;-)

Sousy – getting the ominous ‘[403] FORBIDDEN’ message when attempting to access either of the Gordon Fischer links. Not sure if he needs to CHMOD or perhaps he just really hates being linked to that much…

Evidently one cannot link individual posts on his weblog. Ah, well – I guess I’ll just have to link to the whole page so my post makes zero sense in two or three weeks…

If you make the link .org instead of .com, I think it might work.

Nope. I copied the link directly from his website using the “Permanent Link” at the bottom of his posts.

Weird. Must be a hosting problem or something with blogger. That’s why all good bloggers use wordpress!
